     In general, your monthly cost of living will be much lower than in Canada, but remember, your cost of living relates directly to your spending habits.  If you're smart with your money, 350,000 won a month will be sufficient.  If you like to eat in restaurants, and or go drinking every weekend, your monthly expenditures can easily amount to 500,000 won.  The average person spends somewhere between 350,000 and 500,000 won a month.     

     Korean people are conservative and traditional.  Behavior, attitudes and beliefs, have all been developed through many centuries of evolution.  Koreans are usually very accepting and understanding of differences between themselves and Canadians.  You should come to Korea with an open mind and a willingness to adapt to, and learn from, the Korean people and their culture.  Koreans are known for their kindness and generosity, as well as, their selflessness.  The modern Korean youth are very similar to those from Canada.
